Lori Cooper joined Â鶹ÊÓƵAPK University as a full-time faculty member in 2014 in the
Doctoral Department in the School of Education. Her background in teaching stems primarily
from the early childhood and primary grades, as she taught in public schools, military
childcare, and prekindergarten.
In addition to classroom and administrative experience in early childhood, Cooper
has taught undergraduate courses in science, mathematics, and literacy methods, as
well as courses in family and community collaboration and health and safety for young
children. Cooper currently teaches courses in the Ed.D. program, focusing primarily
on Professional Seminar in Educational Leadership; Introduction to Educational Research;
Controversies in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment; and Dissertation Proposal
Seminar. As part of her work as faculty, Dr. Cooper has also worked with others in
other departments in the School of Education to help spearhead the Early Childhood
Online Pathway and the school safety initiative.
She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Mansfield University, Master of Education degree in Early Childhood Education from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma as well as a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
